Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Raquel Cohen is a multifaceted individual with a diverse career history. She attended Florida State University and has worn many hats throughout her life. Raquel worked as a Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) at Mount Sinai Hospital and later ran her own medical uniform business, Uniforms by Gila (Discount Uniforms), for 15 years. Additionally, she was a successful Realtor in Miami for 20 years.
After battling cancer twice, Raquel turned to writing as a form of healing and self-expression. Her debut novel, For Love or for Fear, was published in both Spanish and English. She followed this with Meet Me at the Lake and Evelyn, Eliana & Miles Guri, a children’s book that explores themes of resilience and hope
